School Closure Information
Please find below details of the schools procedure, if we have to close due to adverse weather.
The decision to close school will be taken by key personnel, and will take into consideration road safety, school site safety and our duty of care to those staff that have to travel.If a decision to close school is made in advance we will endeavour to communicate this before 8.00am on the day of the closure, otherwise parents should always assume that school is open, as this is our default position on any morning unless the above communication has been actioned.
Closure information will also be communicated via our school website, the Lincolnshire County Council School Closure website page https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schools-and-education/school-closures/, through Lincs FM – by broadcast and via their website https://www.lincsfm.co.uk/news/school-closures/, and via our school Facebook, Twitter accounts and Class Dojo.
If a decision is made to close the school during the normal school day we will contact families via Class Dojo and an email will be sent to parents notifying you of the decision to close with a request that arrangements are made to collect children from school at your earliest convenience. Please ensure you contact school to advise who will be collecting your child if this person is not already on your authorised contacts list.
We do appreciate that any uncertainty can present difficulties to working parents and we will do our upmost to ensure any closure information is communicated as soon as possible to help minimise disruption, please be assured that any decision to close school will be considered fully.
