'The Best We Can Be'

Rainbow of Opportunity...Extra Curricular Clubs

We are extremely proud of the range of extra curricular activities which we offer our children. All our clubs are FREE to attend. The exception to this is 'Magical Maths', as it is run by an outside provider. We aim to remove financial barriers to for children who wish to engage in this activity, therefore children who qualify for Pupil Premium funding will be funded via the school if they wish to attend this club.

We call our extra-curricular clubs our 'Rainbow of Opportunity', and each term a new set of opportunities are available for our children to choose from.

Why?

We strongly believe that children should have the opportunity to engage in activities which spark their interests and extend the opportunities we can provide beyond the classroom curriculum. Each club is carefully planned with a clear intent and purpose. We consistently aim to support children to become 'The Best They Can Be' and we use the opportunities extra-curricular activities can provide to enhance this.

Who delivers our clubs?

Our clubs are delivered by our teachers, support staff and specialist coaches. Often subject leaders will deliver clubs to enhance their subject offer such as STEM club, djembe drumming or Little Fishes. These adults are familiar to the children and know their needs and interests.

Who can join our clubs?

Any child in our school can join a club, this is strongly encouraged. We regularly ask the children which clubs they would like to see on the 'Rainbow of Opportunity' and do our best to facilitate this. Our clubs take place both at lunchtime and after school. This means that all children can participate in a club at a time to suit them.

Who attended our clubs this academic year 2022 - 2023?

100% of our Pupil Premium children attended at least two or more extra curricular activities!

100% of our children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) attended at least two or more extra curricular activities this year!
