Remote Learning

If there is ever a time that school cannot open due to events such as snow making it unsafe for people to travel or wider school closures such as we saw during the Covid-19 Pandemic, we will revert to a remote learning plan.

At Branston C of E Infant Academy our remote learning plan aims to ensure that children working from home continue to access the broad and balanced curriculum they world usually access in school. This was extremely successful during the longer closure periods we saw during the pandemic, with 100% of our child accessing daily lessons in all EYFS and National curriculum subject areas.

We use Class Dojo to post the plan for each day. This will be a varied timetable of live, pre-recorded and independent learning tasks. During live lessons, we expect 100% attendance. We deliver live lessons using the Zoom platform and can provide both devices and data plans to ensure that all children have access.

During live lessons a register will be taken and any children who are not logged in will be contacted by the school. Attending remote lessons is just as important as lesson in school. We aim to ensure that children are not disadvantaged in any way by school being closed. We really do value families supporting this.

Should you have any questions about our remote learning offer, please contact either your child's class teacher or Mrs Cook directly.
