Our ‘Awe and Wonder’ Council is made up of two representative from each class in school. Pupils are nominated by their class teachers for this role and wear a special badge so that others know who is part of this council. You can also find photographs of each representative on our central display and in each of our classrooms around school.
What are some of the things our ‘Awe and Wonder’ Council members do?
- Help set up the alter ready for worship both in class and the hall. This includes getting the candle ready.
- Take turns to read either the ‘Candle Prayer’ or the ‘Trinity Prayer’ at the start of class or whole school worship.
- Represent the school at the village Armistice service held annually at the war memorial.
- Take responsibility for the classroom worship baskets to make sure all of the items inside are safe and ready to use during reflection time and for worship in the classroom.
